In conjunction with the Singapore Night Fest’s A Date with Tradition, Ding Yi Music Company will lead audiences into a charming and elegant musical courtyard to enjoy a selection of well-known traditional Chinese chamber music pieces. These melodies, once commonly played at teahouses and in courtyards, include “Birds Returning to the Woods” and “The Little Cowherd” featuring erhu musician Chen Ning and dizi musician Ng Hsien Han respectively. Additionally, Ding Yi will collaborate with Cantonese opera performers to present famous excerpts from beloved Cantonese operas.
